A bidder late at the screen, deciding whether an opportunity is worth it.the late nights, ours now
Eligibility
Do you meet every hard requirement to even be considered?
Set-aside, NAICS / size standard, certifications, clearances, registrations.
Eligibility
Is the work squarely in what you actually do?
The core of the requirement, not an adjacent stretch you'd have to learn on the job.
Past performance
Can you cite relevant, recent past performance at this size and scope?
Work an evaluator will accept as proof you've done this before.
Customer intel
Did you know this was coming before the solicitation dropped?
Relationships, shaping, a sources-sought response — not finding it cold on SAM.
Competitive position
Is there an incumbent, and how is the RFP written?
Requirements wired to one vendor's strengths are a signal the race is decided.
Competitive position
Do you have a real discriminator — a reason they'd pick you?
Something specific and provable, not 'quality and commitment.'
Capacity
Can you produce a compliant, competitive response by the deadline?
The people, the hours, and the reviews — without torching the rest of the business.
Economics
If you won, is the contract worth what it costs to chase and deliver?
B&P to pursue, margin at the likely price, and the strategic value of the logo.

What this is, and what it isn't

What it is

A decision aid that organizes the call a capture lead makes before spending B&P money: eligibility, past performance, customer intel, competitive position, capacity, economics. The score is a plain weighted sum of your answers — the kind of math you could do on a napkin. It just makes the gaps obvious.

What it isn't

A win-probability oracle. There's no model claiming to predict the outcome, and no AI reading your opportunity. A no-bid here isn't a loss. It's the discipline that keeps the next yes affordable. We'd rather you skip a bid you can't win than spend the money finding out in the debrief.

Want a human to pressure-test the call? A Go/No-Go Sprint takes a live solicitation apart in days — compliance triage, a shred of Sections L and M, and a written bid recommendation you can act on. See the Sprint →
