The honest answers.

The third option between build and buy. Building a proposal team is a hire you can't justify; buying an AI tool is shelfware by month three, because it assumes you already have the team to run it. frwrd is the function itself, rented by the month: a senior human sets strategy and owns the document, working from a knowledge base you keep; managed agents and expert-driven tooling handle the volume. You get proposals, RFIs, capture plans, and graphics — the output, not a tool to operate.
Small and mid contractors and gov-tech startups that bid regularly but can't justify an in-house team or a big consultancy. If you have a proposal department already, you don't need us.
A named senior operator who has run public sector and regulated-enterprise pursuits at scale, working with agents. Not an offshore team, not an anonymous pool. The record is on the about page.
No. A person sets the win themes, makes the bid call, and owns the document; pro tooling and agents tuned to your business carry the first draft and the compliance work, under their hand. Unsupervised AI gets proposals thrown out for non-compliance; we don't ship unsupervised AI.
A full first draft in days, not weeks. Exact timing depends on the solicitation and your turnaround on reviews.
Anytime. Nothing gets deleted, but things go cold while you're paused: we stop refreshing your knowledge base, the radar goes quiet, and the digests stop. Turn it back on and we warm it up.
If the first read isn't useful, we refund the setup fee and shake hands. Your own materials are always yours. The structured knowledge base we built is what the setup fee pays for, so it transfers once that's paid — not on a refund. Finished work you've already received is yours and isn't refundable.
Good. Your own materials are always yours, and the structured knowledge base we built transfers once setup is paid. We hand you a clean, portable copy to take to any tool or hire.
No — we never take a contingent or success fee. You pay the same whether you win or lose. (It's also the safe side of the federal Covenant Against Contingent Fees, FAR 52.203-5 — a "no win, no fee" proposal shop can create a compliance problem for you.)
See the Security page. Short version: least-privilege access, an NDA before anything sensitive changes hands, and a choice of where your knowledge base lives.
Classified or CUI-heavy work on our own systems, at least to start. If you need that, we work inside your environment or point you elsewhere. We'd rather say no than pretend.
