Switchyard is built and supported by dks.studio. Questions, bugs, and setup help come straight to me.

Email hello@dks.studio. Tell me which edition you have and what you were doing when it went wrong. Nothing about your documents ever reaches me — send only what you are willing to type into an email.
Training and setup
The app installs and runs without help. What is worth an hour is the rest: which tools fit the way you already work, where your records folder lives, and getting a whole practice onto one habit instead of six. I do this directly, for individuals and for groups, and it includes training on building your own tools inside the app. Say roughly how many people are involved.
Common questions
Does it record my sessions?
No, and it cannot. The app has no microphone permission and no audio capture in it. You dictate or type your own post-session notes and it organizes what you wrote. Your client is never recorded, so there is no recording consent conversation and no transcript to subpoena.
Is this HIPAA compliant?
No software is, and any vendor telling you otherwise is selling you something. Compliance describes how a practice works. What is true here: nothing you put in leaves your computer, so there is no business associate to contract with, no retention terms, no subprocessor to disclose, and no vendor in your breach-notification chain. Your own obligations are unchanged.
What about my clients' de-identified data?
There is none of it anywhere but your machine. We have no copy to de-identify, retain, train on, or share. See the vendor-terms reference for what that question means and why it is worth asking every vendor.
Does anything leave my Mac?
No. The models run inside the app. There is no account and no server. The app shows a running count of bytes sent, and it reads zero.
Where are my files?
One folder on your Mac. Open the shield icon in the app — it shows the exact path and a Show in Finder button.
The first run is slow.
The bundled model loads once on first use. After that it is quick.
Can I use my own model?
Yes. If you run Ollama, point Switchyard at any model you have from the setup screen. That connection is also loopback-only.
What do I need to run it?
An Apple silicon Mac on macOS 12 or later. The download is around 6 GB because the models are inside the app rather than on someone's server.
Which edition should I buy?
The focused editions carry one profession's tools and open ready to use. Complete carries all of them plus automation — folder watchers, schedules, and goals you hand off.
